Grade 6 – Study your Latin vocabulary. Finish reading from page 426 to the end of Chapter LI, “The Report from Janina,” in The Count of Monte Cristo. Read aloud to an adult, and have them sign your reading log. Answer the following study questions:

1. Chapter LI: When Mrs. Villefort asks Noirtier to reinstate his “grandchild” in his will, who does she mean? Who does Noirtier mean?
2. What is decided about the marriage between Eugenie and Albert by their fathers?

Grade 7 - Study your Latin vocabulary. Finish completing your Chamberlain/Churchill appeasement speech handout. Read from page 63 through page 76 in Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. Read aloud to an adult, and have them sign your reading log. Answer the following study questions:

1. Jan. 13 – Why does Anne feel herself “fortunate”?
2. Jan. 30 – Why is Anne in such turmoil?
3. Feb. 5 – Does Anne want to be like Margot? Why or why not? Include short quotes in your answer.

Grade 8 - Study your Latin vocabulary and endings. Combine all your paragraphs (you should have six in all), write a concluding paragraph, and put them all together in a final draft of your paper on Pride and Prejudice. Read chapters 8 and 9 in To Kill a Mockingbird aloud to an adult and have them sign your study log. Answer the following study questions:
